CEO: Gazprom’s non-CIS gas exports jump 36% to 15 bcm in January
MOSCOW, Feb 1 (PRIME) -- Preliminary data showed that non-CIS exports of Russian gas giant Gazprom surged by 36.1% on the year to 15.1 billion cubic meters in January, the company said Monday quoting its CEO Alexei Miller.
“Demand for Russian gas in non-CIS states continued to grow. According to preliminary data, Gazprom’s supplies to the market in January 2016 increased by 36.1% compared with the same period of 2015 and amounted to 15.1 billion cubic meters,” Miller said as cited by Gazprom.
“The largest growth was shown by key consumers of Russian gas. Exports to Germany soared 50.9%, to the U.K. surged 185.7%, to Italy rose by 16.1%, and to Poland jumped by 67.2%,” he said.
